Back to School Safely

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and our Community Traffic Safety Teams remind motorists to take extra traffic safety precautions as students head back to school in Broward County. The beginning of the school year is a time when children are at increased risk of transportation related injuries from pedestrian, bicycle, school bus and motor vehicle crashes.  FDOT offers the following tips for making back to school commutes safer for motorists and students.  Click Here to visit the Coral Springs Police Department Website for more back to school safety tips.

The Coral Springs Police strictly enforce traffic laws within the city. They remind all motorists to adhere to traffic laws, especially in and around school zones. Their Traffic Unit would like to provide a list of the most common traffic/pedestrian infractions they experience in school zones.  Click Here for more back to school safety reminders and traffic laws.
