Imagine Phoenix Families,
For the past two years, Imagine Broward has been able to participate in a state-funded program that afforded all of our students’ free breakfast and free lunch. While this was wonderful for our families during this time, unfortunately, the program has expired as of June 30th, 2022 and we will not be able to offer free breakfast or free lunch this school year.
I know that the grant was a great financial help to our families over the past two years. We were even able to feed members of the community who were not Phoenix families through this grant. This was a great privilege for our school. I know that you will join me in thanking the members of our team and SLA Management for the facilitation of this grant.
The updated Free and Reduced Lunch Program application will be included in back-to-school packets for all families at Meet and Greet. We encourage any family needing food assistance to apply for the free and reduced lunch program. The threshold for qualification changes from time to time and even if you have been denied in the past, you may qualify now.
For the 2022-2023 school year, regular breakfast prices will be $2.50, elementary lunch will be $4.50, and middle school lunch $4.75. We wanted to get this information to you now for planning purposes.
Keep in mind, that you can load money into your child’s lunch account at https://www.myschoolaccount.com/.
If you are new to our school, your child will need to have a lunch account set up. SLA will have all students entered into their system by Meet and Greet. We do ask that all parents create accounts to be able to access their students’ transaction histories and add funds.

Again, we know and empathize that the end of this grant may be a hardship for some families. Please apply for the free and reduced lunch program. Depending on the number of people on our campus who qualify for free and reduced lunch this could make us eligible for another grant in the future.
